Some of the strangest things I’ve done as Principal

  1. Climbed the roof of the school to put a cap on a chimney to keep away the birds (and I’m not great at heights!)
  2. Opened a manhole to unblock a sewerage pipe ….. twas quite a gush when it finally came free!
  3. Spent most of my summer painting the inside of the school.
  4. Filled the cracks in the yard with concrete (while on my knees).
  5. Repaired a leaking oil tank.
  6. Repaired the leaks on a flat roof.
  7. Put up an array of shelves.
  8. Spread the gravel in the new car parking area.
  9. Had to tow a parent’s car home.
  10. Installed a Stira stairs and then spent ages cleaning and tidying the attic storage area. Talk about years of dust!

I have to admit that we used to bring in a teacher of French a number of years ago but we gave it up as a bad job.

Why I hear you say?
