Cowen may be saying it but he isn't putting it into practice. Baino ~ the opposition .... The only guy who seems to make any impression on me is Eamon Gilmore of the Labour Party but given a sniff of power he could lose the run of himself too. My CEO told us that our current funding runs out in April. We have several good leads on additional funding, but none are in the bag. So come April I could find myself unemployed. Sounds like you need a decent opposing political party. I'm not sure what your system is, I assume it's based on the Westminster system where a 'senate' or house of reps has to pass laws? If so, you need opposition representatino there. Strong opposition . .where are they? Who are they? I can't understand the apathy that seems to have overtaken Ireland in the last 2 years . . I hear people complain, I see the disatisfaction, even the younglings are looking for sunnier climes with less doom and gloom . .strike. . .can you imagine what would happen if the entire public service shut down for just one day! ' is what worries me, these are the keywords that Cowen, Harney and the the green croonies will use to their own advantage in press releases in the next few weeks.
