Ribbon of Remembrance

Got this from Laura’s blog. I’m posting it here in remembrance of my mother who died of cancer 5 years ago.

Rest In Peace Mother.

Aww Paddy, I believe you were very close. Much in common we have. I lost my Dad to Cancer 6 years ago on the 6th October and my mother in a car accident over 16 and my darling Ray now 20 years ago but each parting still seems like yesterday. I feel for you. Big hugs.

    Virtual hugs Paddy.

Tell us about your early memories of your mum. I for one would love to hear them.

Baino ~ sorry to hear that.

Gm ~ When she died my whole world changed. I live to exist/exist to live now. Hope springs eternal they say …. it dried up when my mother died.

I was lucky to have been there to care for her in her final days but I reckon she was robbed of life. She wasn’t a complainer, she always put others first and when she did get to look after herself her breast cancer ended up being a brain tumour.

My attitude to life is … well … I ain’t got an attitude … I just carry on from day to day.
Happiness isn’t an aspiration anymore … I’m glad just to gather along through life the best way I can.
