Great pictures!
Sorry, I’m unable to help with the tekkie stuff.
Have you seen this? I thought you might find it interesting.
It’s unrelated to the post, btw!
Grannymar ~ thanks! …. re. the techie stuff … I’ll figure out a way given time … just thought I’d save some time and ask!
Darren ~ great video!
I agree totally with preparing children to respond to future challenges. Only problem I hit is that the ‘experts’ I ask for input/support/help only talk crap and have yet to put reality to what they promise.
Our own Department of Education & Science don’t see IT as a priority.
I’m doing my best but I’m fast losing interest in pushing the boat out.
We have an award winning website …. so what? We may as well not have it …. I get more acknowledgement for it and what we have done in IT development from people in other parts of the world than I do from those within our country.
Our country doesn’t value effort/innovation …. if it doesn’t produce an instant profit …. ‘we ain’t interested!’
Pretty part of the country alright.
That video was amazing. Our Government has pledged $1billion to ensure that every student in Australia in year 9-12 will have access to a computer. What about primary kids? For now, many in the more selubrious schools do but there are many who don’t. Food for thought alright. I know primary teachers who cannot use a computer, defrag a disk or install software yet they’re teaching littlies that can install a sound card and extra RAM . . .I’m sending them the link!
Looks like a great spot for a camper van!
Not sure I’d like to navigate the bends on the Healy pass in a large van!
Forecast looks good for a walk tomorrow - enjoy the day-off!
Baino ~ you could send the link to Mary Hanafin - our endearing (NOT) Minister for Education and Science!
Steph ~ We met two big camper vans parked up at the top of the Healy Pass on Friday. They had come from Northern Ireland and were setting themselves up at a great vantage point to watch the ‘Rally of the Lakes’.
How anyone could race cars along the Healy Pass is beyond me ….. one mistake and you’re a goner … no second chances there.
