What’s your weakest link?
![]()
I’ve got two. My knees!
I’ve also noticed that my right knee is swollen after my walks these days.
I’ve had both knees pop out on numerous occasions over the years.
The left one was the last to pop out last summer …. it popped back in again after I spent ages trying to drag myself into the sister’s car to be taken to the doctor.
Once it popped …. there was no need to go to the doctor.
My knees crack, creek and make ferocious noises even when I go up and down the stairs.
My patellae are high and I’m told that they will have a tendency to pop out.
When walking I wrap them as tightly as I can and hope for the best …. cos if they pop I’m down.
And down I stay!

It is all those years of praying when you were young!

‘My knees crack, creek and make ferocious noises even when I go up and down the stairs.’ - That happens to me but I put it down to my age. Are you older than me?
I doubt it’s the praying ………….. possibly the lack of it has now produced this affliction!
“What’s your weakest link?”
How long have you got, Paddy?
Recurrent dislocation of the knee cap is usually due to a structural problem. Your grooves aren’t groovy enough, Paddy
There is surgery available but I wouldn’t recommend it. If things get very bad, you can opt to have the patellae removed totally but that’s a bit drastic and you wouldn’t win any prizes with your knees
Your best option would be to seek the advice of a Physio specializing in sports injuries. They can advise you on how best to prevent further wear and tear occurring and keep you walking those hills for many years to come!
Appointment made with doctor …. worst case scenario …. I’ll strap em so tight they’ll not have the chance to pop out!
